Introducing New DIY Feature Wall Planks

Wallplanks wood wall panels in Picket Fence finish

It only takes turning on HGTV for 15 minutes to know that whitewashed shiplap and stained wood feature walls are all the rage. Whether homeowners are looking to evoke rustic elegance, escape to a beachy coastal getaway, or add striking natural features to an industrial style, nailing wood planks to walls is definitely trending. These wood accents bring rich color, texture, and intrigue to a room with an air of simplicity and nature that bold wallpapers or paint can lack. (Don't worry, we are still big advocates for dramatic wallpaper. But hey, it isn't for everyone).

With all the interest surrounding the shiplap look, we were thrilled when we learned about Rowlock Plus from Johnson Hardwood and Wallplanks, two brands we now carry in-store. Both offer the look of reclaimed shiplap in a variety of colors without the cutting, staining, distressing, and labor intensive mounting. With our new wood planks designed just for this purpose, installation is so easy you can do it yourself!
